Hello GSM/GPRS/EDGE Overview

- Implementation of physical layer (L1) and protocol stacks (L2/L3) for GSM/GPRS/EDGE (terminal side), integrated with analog front-end (AFE) and RF modules
- Highly optimized implementation of physical layer software on processors such as Sand Bridge, TIC55x and wide range of other proprietary processors/DSP/FPGA platforms.
- Complete protocol stacks software suite that includes LLC, RLC/MAC, SMS, SM, CC, LAPDm, RRM, MM, GMM, SNDCP and SIM controller.
- POSIX compliant protocol stacks optimized for porting to wide range of processors including ARM and MIPS.

Physical layer IP blocks

The GSM/GPRS/EDGE solution includes innovative and low complexity patented algorithms for superior receiver performance even under adverse channel conditions. These include:

- GMSK Modulation (Patent Pending) / 8PSK Modulation
- Time and Frequency Synchronization (Patent Pending)
- A novel modified SOVA based GMSK equalizer (Patent Pending)
- Low complexity Fire decoder for CS1 channel decoder (Patent Pending)
- Supports CS 1-4 and MCS 1-9

- The physical layer is ported on to all major processors including SandBridge and TIC55x

Conformance to ETSI

The GSM/GPRS/EDGE solutions has been tested to industry standard system simulators (ANITE/AEROFLEX). The physical layer performance exceeds the ETSI specifications.
